Position Summary
We are currently seeking casual Residential Care RNs to join our cohesive team at the Kimberley Special Care Home.

Kimberley Special Care Home, comprises of 51 private resident rooms and 2 flexible short stay beds. The home embodies a resident-centered philosophy designed to support residents’ choices, help people function at their highest level, and provide the best quality of life possible.

The RN or RPN practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of resident care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN or RPN ensures the delivery of resident–centered care by assisting individual residents and their families respond to changing health care needs. The RN or RPN demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

This is a casual opportunity. Shift times are typically 07:00-15:00, 15:00-22:00 with an on-call shift between the hours of 22:00-07:00

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses’ of BC (CRPNBC).
• Post – basic education in gerontology an asset.
