About the role
DTZ is looking for a full-time experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our team. In this role you will be working in the Sydney area and possibly wider areas for our corporate clients. You will have responsibility for Safety, Teamwork, Honesty & openness in communication, Outstanding customer service and Integrity. This role will also be responsible for achieving the project performance targets and delivering customer expectations.
Key accountabilities
  • Undertake urgent, routine & ad-hoc maintenance, repairs, inspections on clients premises and equipment as directed by the company.
  • Undertake and record Job Safety Analysis prior to commencement of tasks
  • Review and comment on any Plumbing instructions and standard operating procedures supplied by DTZ FM
  • Participate and take an active role when new equipment items are transferred from projects to maintenance.
  • Ensure effective Key Performance Indicators are managed effectively including response times, safety, compliance and financial performance of all jobs assigned to you.
  • Participate in the management of occupational health and safety.
  • Promote working in a team environment with work colleagues.
  • Liaise with Sydney Water or other statutory authorities where required
  • Utilize the mobility solution to retrieve work order details and enter and complete all historical information within the system
  • Comply with all DTZ systems used to meet its health and safety obligations.
  • General ad hoc duties as requested by your leading hand or local trade services management and schedulers
  • Operate in a manner that will minimise any adverse environmental impacts associated with their activities.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
  • Relevant Trade Qualification – Plumber, Drainer and Gasfitter
  • Backflow and TMV accreditation would be preferable but not essential.
  • Electrical disconnect-reconnect preferable but not essential.
  • Backflow prevention experience
  • Thermostatic Mixing valve experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • WHS, Risk Management, Environmental Management or Quality Assurance systems
  • Experience in Building Services Maintenance
  • Basic estimating (small Works)
  • Experience in fault finding and diagnosis.
