Job Description

Are you looking to challenge your TIG welding skills and work on aerospace components?  CRT has the opportunity for you!
  1. Perform TIG welding operations on nickel-based alloy components.
  2. Inspect work for completion and quality. Understand and achieve weld quality requirements.
  3. Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
  4. Perform Torch Brazing of tubes and connectors.
  5. Use weld fixtures, chill blocks, gas back-ups, pre-heat methods, and other methods and equipment to optimize weld quality results.
  6. Perform pre- and post- weld heat treatments, including the operation of air/oven equipment and local stress relief equipment.
  7. Assemble and fit parts such as flanges to cases, cut and fit patches, or assemble tubes and fittings.
  8. Perform non-certified welding for tooling and fixturing as needed.

Job Requirements


  1. Completion of TIG welding courses or classroom training from a technical or welding school.
  2. Must be able to pass a vision test and physical tests required for position.
  3. Must be able to work overtime/weekend/off-shifts as required.
  4. General knowledge and basic understanding of Welding theory and properties of metals.
  5. 6+ months of on the job training using TIG (GTAW) welding techniques; preferably aerospace quality work.
  6. Work both independently and on a team under minimal supervision.
  7. Demonstrate a positive attitude.
