Tracking Code175-056Job DescriptionResorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the full time seasonal position of Chef/Kitchen Supervisor for the Wintergreen Golf and Country Club. Located 30 minutes southwest of Calgary, Alberta, Wintergreen is a semi-private 18-hole golf facility serving 150 members and their families, public, corporate and tournament play. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, the ideal candidate will be fluent in English, highly organized, detail oriented and enjoy the outdoors. While not required, a background in (or interest in) golf would be considered an asset. Term of employment is May through October, allowing the successful applicant to pursue other interests during the winter months. Lateral off-season employment may be available to qualified applicants. This is an exciting opportunity to work for the largest private owner/operator of ski and golf resorts in North America.Some of the responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

Working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager

Day to day kitchen operations

Menu execution for lounge, snack shack and functions – planning, costing and presentation

Inventory management. Product ordering as required.

Ensuring that appropriate standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization are maintained at all times

Required SkillsBe in good health and be able to stand for long periods.

Able to work long hours when required.

Canadian Red Seal or Provincial Papers. Comparable on the job experience may be considered.

Food safety certification, or willingness to obtain.
